Professional, Compassionate Dog Care in Bend, Oregon

YOUR DOG’S HOME AWAY FROM HOME. family-style boarding & DAYCARE for YOUR CaNINE kidS

With FreedUp Pet sitting, you can travel with peace of mind, knowing that your beloved dog(s) are in excellent hands and are having a vacation of their own!

Overnight Pet Sitting in our home. Your dog becomes part of our family. They’ll have the run of the house; have constant access to the secure backyard for playtime, bathroom breaks, or sniff-a-thons; and enjoy a daily off-site exercise outing catered to their ability. The most difficult part of their stay will be their choosing from a multitude of comfy dog beds for naps and bedtime!

We also offer full-day daycare services so that you can go for that long hike or bike ride, tour Bend’s infamous breweries, run holiday errands, or attend that work seminar or a concert, all with the peace of mind knowing that your dog is safe, well-cared for and having fun themselves.

Will you be visiting Bend and/or Central Oregon with your dog and need a dog sitter for a day, or overnight? Contact us! Sometimes your dog simply can’t be with you and you can’t leave him alone in your AirBnB all day, either. Your k9 kid deserves their own adventure! This is where FreedUp can help. We highly recommend planning ahead and contacting us in advance, so that we can get you on our schedule.

We offer doggie daycare and/or boarding during the Sisters Folk Festival or other events . Contact me to discuss your dog(s) and your dates/needs. Drop-in visits at your lodging location and/or exercise outings for your k9 kid also available!

Need something else? We offer customizable services tailored to your individual needs! For example, some of our clients have hired us to do: drop-in visits to feed their kitty, wellness checks and/or exercise outings for their pets on long work days, or dog walks while they recovered from surgery or an injury. Again, whenever possible we highly recommend contacting us in advance.

Small-Scale, Family-Style Boarding.

Our guest pack is kept small so your dog never gets lost in the crowd. He (or she) truly becomes part of our family during their stay, and they are provided the same hands-on love, attention and compassion enjoyed by our own dog.

Whether you need a place for your dog for a day or for a few weeks, your dog will be in excellent hands.

We Are Your Dog’s Home Away From Home.

We are committed to ensuring that your dog is safe, comfy, and a happy camper during their stay.

We cater to senior and special needs dogs, too. Our home is calming and perfectly suited to dogs who are not a fit for large-scale, more frenetic commercial settings. Special dietary or medication requirements are never a problem.

Daily Exercise and Plenty of Fresh Air

Each dog-stay includes daily off-site exercise, based on your dog’s needs and abilities, ranging from neighborhood walks to long trail hikes.

WE ALSO OFFER ONE-TIME OR RECURRING DOG WALKS AS WELL AS DROP-IN DAILY VISITS/FEEDING FOR YOUR OTHER FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS, FROM BUNNIES TO KITTIES.

About Deb:
I have over thirty years of experience caring for dogs. As the founder and former Executive Director of Second Chance Rescue, a large Bay-area dog rescue organization, I personally cared for an incredibly wide variety of dogs, of vastly different sizes, ages and breeds. Dog rescue was a true labor of love for me—seeing homeless dogs literally run for joy after being rescued from a shelter, and later adopting them out to lifelong loving homes, was the most fulfilling chapter in my life.

My affinity and love for dogs has never left me; and now I take care of my clients’ beloved K9 kids. I know dogs. As a devoted dog owner/guardian myself (Gibbs, my 9-year old Border Collie is the official greeter and host), it’s very fulfilling for me to free up pet owners/guardians when they need reliable, responsible and trustworthy pet care. I am also actively involved in Bend’s animal welfare community. I have served on several Boards for animal welfare organizations, and currently I volunteer for the Pet Evacuation Team (Petevacuationteam.com); check them out!

I believe that every dog is unique, and that they all deserve to have a loving home, be kept safe, and adored. Ensuring the safety and well being of every dog that I care for is a responsibility that I take very seriously.

Contact me via this site or by email. Whether you’re planning a vacation, or anticipating a daycare need— this month or months from now— let’s get acquainted and chat about your dog-care needs. We’ll get you all set up so that you’re good to go when you want to make a reservation.

WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING:

We were able to totally enjoy our vacation knowing our fur-kids were being well-cared for. One dog is quite old and needed a lot of extra care, which was no problem for Deb, who is compassionate, patient and loving with animals. Deb's completely trustworthy and kind and I hope she'll be available to care for our dogs every time we go away in the future.   Susan and Dave Z., La Pine, Oregon

We hired Deb to walk Eli for a few weeks while my Mom recuperated from a medical issue as she was unable to provide his regular walks for him herself. This allowed Eli to get the exercise he needed to stay healthy and happy, which also gave my Mom peace of mind. He soon couldn't wait to get his leash on and walk with Deb.  His leash behavior also improved after a few walking sessions with Deb.  We are so grateful that we met Deb when we did.  She is a caring and professional gift of a person.  Amy A., Central Oregon

Deb cared for my dog while I was preparing my house for staging and eventual sale. Deb provided dog daycare (and a couple overnights) for me on busy days when realtors and movers were coming and going so that I didn’t have to worry about doors being left open or my dog being stressed out. Not only that, she also handled all kinds of moving-related tasks for me, such as helping me downsize, selling items, light packing, and donations drop offs (all part of FreedUp personal concierge). Deb is very organized and together we came up with a plan and timeline. She was efficient and reliable, and very personable. I would recommend FreedUp to anyone. Pat M., Redmond, OR
